Dennis Lehane is better known for his stand-alone titles such as MYSTIC RIVER and SHUTTER ISLAND; he has also, however, written a fine series featuring the private investigation team of Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro. The duo revisits an old case in MOONLIGHT MILE. Several years ago Kenzie and Gennaro found and recovered a missing four year old girl, only to return her to a nightmarish home life. The girl, now sixteen and a brilliant student, has gone missing again, and the investigators become involved, forcing them to deal with new complications and consequences, and improbably higher stakes.
