Jo Nesbo is best known for his Harry Hole series but the stand-alone HEADHUNTERS is in a class all by itself. The story revolves around an employment agency executive who needs to supplement his income, and very quickly. He steals an expensive work of art and trouble predictably ensues in very unpredictable ways. Darkly humorous, one cannot help but think that, if Mad Men were set in the 2010s and in Oslo instead of New York, a season story arc would look like HEADHUNTERS.
