Ender's Game

Classic Science Fiction Novels, March 2012

Ender's Game is the opening volume in one of the most acclaimed series of the present day science fiction community. Ender Wiggin is a brilliant student soldier, earning accolades and advancements in the Battle School with his tactics and mission successes. Earth is broken into three factions but those three factions have united in the shadow of the threat from the Formics, a bug alien race bent on wiping out the human race. Ender is the key to human survival but Card does a brilliant job in making Ender into a fully formed character; one readers can relate to and yet also find contemptible at times, and one who revels in his success but is also torn and tinged with guilt by his actions. The novel is intense and the game is brutal. A film is due next year.
