I have just finished reading THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett. I rate it a 5. It held my interest from chapter to chapter. Being a girl from Iowa, I found this a whole different life.

I also have just finished VERY VALENTINE by Adriana Trigiani. also a 5. Adriana's books keep getting better. This was a great lesson on how they make shoes, something I never thought of before. I especially liked the fact that she did not have the heroine live happily ever after at the end.

I'll probably think of more when I have time to think, period, but the one series of books I have discussed with others more than any I have EVER read is Stephenie Meyers' Twilight books. I have found people talking about it around the world and on international flights.

Some in my family are on the 4th reading; they just can't quit, while some have seen the movie version at least 3 times.

I guess there is a theme here: THOSE WHO SAVE US, HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET and SARAH'S KEY. They all are World War II books (in part) and are all well written and deal with, at least in part, aspects of the War that don't get as much press as some others. They are excellent reads.
