I am curious about their reaction to The Passion of the Christ andThe Da Vinci Code. I am especially interested in how they feel the Catholic Church (the Vatican) has reacted to them, especially since not a word has been mentioned from the pulpit/homilies. The public interest generated by both the above movie and the book (soon to be a movie) makes me wonder where fiction and truth actually collide.

Elizabeth Berg --- I've read all of her books and each one makes me feel a part of what's going on. Say When was particularly interesting because it was told from the view of a man. My favorite Elizabeth Berg book (and it's a hard choice) is The Pull of the Moon.
John Irving --- Ever since I read The World According to Garp, I've been an ardent fan. I admire the way he sets a book up, and all of the pieces fit like a jigsaw puzzle.
Anne Tyler --- She's another of my favorite authors. I've been wating years for her new book, The Amateur Marriage. I read it amazingly fast. As sure as I'm sitting here at my computer, I can bet that she'll be a contender for the National Book Award or the Pulitzer Prize. One of my favorite books is Ladder of Years. Just think, Delia Grimstead up and leaves her family with only a beach towel to start a new life, and her new life becomes just as complicated as her old life.
