What book that is out right now do you think has the best looking cover?
Puzzler125@aol.com
It's a tossup between Hillary Clinton's book, Living History, andHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It's a really good picture of Hillary, and if you are big on Harry Potter you really like the cover.

I love the picture of Hillary Clinton on Living History. I think it is a striking and eye-catching picture of her. It always catches my eye when I see it in the stores.

I think this is a question that is completely impossible to answer --- tastes in art or "art" are SO subjective --- everyone will feel very differently about this kind of thing. Personally, I like the cover of Oryx and Crake, but the cover has nothing whatever to do with whether or not I'm going to be interested in the book, or whether or not I'll buy the book. Those decisions I make based on content, the talent of the author, and to a very minor degree, the jacket copy. The art is nothing but window dressing; it does not influence my book-buying decisions.

The covers of the Gabriel Garcia Marquez's books published by HarperPerennial and illustrated by Cathleen Toelke are beautiful.
Owl9650@aol.com
The cover of The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst --- the subtle background of tree leaves and the mask held up for all to see...but not see behind. And there, hidden along the edge, the graceful hand holding the mask. Everything's in plain sight, everything's hidden...not unlike Lexy's story as it unfolds to Paul.
HepKat53@aol.com
Isle of Palms by Dorothea Benton Frank has the best cover. The paper is gorgeous (and expensive) as well as the design.

I think that the book Theater of the Stars by N. M. Kelby has the best graphics on the cover for now. If you want to go with cartoon covers, I would say that Nerd in Shining Armor by Vicki Lewis Thompson is the best in that category. As for your Mystery books,The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown is cool.
yoteach24@comcast.net
I think the book with the best looking cover right now is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It is the hardcover 10th anniversary edition. It is bright, colorful, mysterious and magical. I don't know how anyone could walk by it in the store and not pick it up.
