Winter Reading 2018

At Bookreporter.com, we kicked off 2018 with our fourth annual Winter Reading Contests and Feature. We hosted a series of 24-hour contests spotlighting a book releasing this winter (or a book publishing in the spring that we wanted to get on your radar now) and gave five lucky readers a chance to win it.

Even though our contests have wrapped up, we encourage you to take a look at this year's featured titles, as these are the books you'll want to read during the winter months --- and into the warmer ones!

Week of August 6, 2018

Paperback releases for the week of August 6th include EMMA IN THE NIGHT, Wendy Walker's second psychological thriller (following ALL IS NOT FORGOTTEN), which revolves around the mysterious disappearance of two sisters and the shocking return of one of them three years later; MY OWN WORDS, a collection of writings and speeches from Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who discusses such wide-ranging topics as gender equality, the workways of the Supreme Court, being Jewish, law and lawyers in opera, and the value of looking beyond US shores when interpreting the US Constitution; MORNINGSTAR, a memoir about the magic and inspiration of books from beloved author Ann Hood; and LIGHT IT UP by Nick Petrie, in which a well-planned and flawlessly executed hijacking reveals the hidden dangers of Colorado's mellowest business --- but war veteran Peter Ash may find there's more to this crime than meets the eye.
