Tracey S. Phillips

Tracey S. Phillips is a serial artist. She grew up in Indianapolis, the daughter of an artist and granddaughter of a pianist, teacher and honored supporter of musical arts. Playing music and creating art were a way of life when she entered college as a fashion model and musician.

Somewhere along the road to fame and fortune, she married her best friend and became a mother. While raising kids she tried painting, drawing, jewelry making and even colorful furniture redesign, until finally settling on a successful career teaching piano lessons. As her children grew, she journaled about her childhood and the drama of daily life until stories began to form. Then she fantasized about a vacation alone with her laptop! She had stories to tell. When finally she put pen to paper, fingertips to the keyboard, she wrote four manuscripts.

She currently lives in Madison Wisconsin with her husband and two dogs.

Psychological Thriller is her love, and female characters drive her stories. With its sociopathic characters and twists and turns, it gives a ride like no other. Her debut novel is BEST KEPT SECRETS.

Morgan Jewell and Fay Ramsey are enjoying their last summer together before college. But when Fay is found dead, Morgan's entire world crumbles. Years later, Morgan is still haunted by the abrupt end to her best friend's life. She knew Fay held a secret in those final days, but Morgan, now a homicide detective, has failed to make a picture out of the crooked puzzle pieces she left behind. Nothing makes sense, and the leads have run dry. Until she's called to the scene of a murder: a woman whose body is left mangled, too similar to Fay's to ignore. This is the case Morgan has been waiting for to set her back on the killer's trail. But the closer she gets, the harder it forces her to confront the memories of herself and her best friend.
