Memory's Door: A Well Spring Novel

Supernatural battles have become the norm for the four members of Warriors Rising. Entering souls and battling demons has taken them to realms they had never imagined, brought them to the edge of death, and knit them into a powerful force. But what lies ahead could destroy them all…and everything they’ve worked hard to achieve. In this second installment of the Well Spring series, author James L. Rubart takes God’s band of warriors to the ultimate enemy --- The Wolf --- and brings one of them to the threshold of memory’s door, where he will have to make a life-changing choice.

The Warriors Rising know the prophesy as well as they know their own names. The first part states that they will “rise up and fight for the hearts of others. They will demolish strongholds in the heavens and grind their enemies to dust. Their victories will spread across the nations.” In God’s name, they have battled demonic forces and healed broken souls. But they are painfully aware that the time is drawing near for the fulfillment of the prophecy’s ominous second part: And when the Wolf rises, the four of them must war against him and bring about his destruction.

Only they have hope of victory.
And for one, their vision will grow clear,
And for one, the darkness of choice will rain on them,
And for one, the other world will become more real than this one,
And for one, death will come before the appointed time.

Reece Roth, loved and respected leader of the Warriors Rising, has done all he can to prepare them, while struggling with the blindness that resulted from a battle waged at the end of the first book, SOUL’S GATE. Though he and his group have made great advancements for the Kingdom during the past 10 months, his prayers for sight restoration have gone unanswered. But Reece is not the only warrior facing challenges.

"MEMORY’S DOOR grips the reader from the start, with action and conflict aplenty. Author James L. Rubart’s creative imagery paints lovely pictures of heavenly realms."

Popular Christian musician Brandon Scott is being stalked by a mysterious man at his concerts, while simultaneously watching his career take a dive. But Brandon doesn’t plan on going down without a fight. No one is going to take away his singing career…or so he believes.

Dana thinks her career is skyrocketing, as an unexpected promotion and generous raise far exceeds her expectations. She jumps in with both feet, unaware that her success is part of a demonic plot to derail her.

Marcus, college professor, husband and father, is still being crushed beneath the weight of a secret --- a secret the evil one is using to destroy him. Slipping in and out of alternate realities is horrific enough, but when The Wolf enters his home and attempts to seduce his daughter, Marcus realizes the battle has jumped to a new level. Losing that fight is simply not an option, but winning will force him to make a gut-wrenching choice. And if he chooses wrong, the consequences will be more than he can bear.

MEMORY’S DOOR grips the reader from the start, with action and conflict aplenty. Author James L. Rubart’s creative imagery paints lovely pictures of heavenly realms. His characters, as in SOUL’S GATE, maintain their unique personalities through their thoughts, dialogue, actions and reactions. They have great chemistry, especially Dana and Brandon, who were once engaged and are now dealing with the aftermath of a broken relationship.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and recommend it to all who have read SOUL’S GATE. There is plenty of scripture woven throughout the action-packed pages, as well as scripture-based discussions, making this a novel that would be most appreciated by Christian readers.
