Guess what! This newsletter marks the two-year anniversary of our co-authorship, and we couldn’t be more excited! In traditional anniversary style, it is customary on the second anniversary to exchange gifts of cotton. What was once merely the fabric of our lives is now the fabric of our friendship. And boy does it feel nice! Not just the cotton...having a great wingwoman in life&newsletters™. We may be independent ladies, but, as it turns out, two independent ladies is better than one. Here’s lookin’ at you, T. Swift and [insert celebrity friend here]!

An email practically fell from the sky and into Nikki’s inbox advertising a little off-Broadway show called “Matt and Ben.” Written for the stage by Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers, her bestie from college, in the early 2000s, it tells the fictionalized story of how Matt Damon and Ben “Gigli” Affleck came up with the script for Good Will Hunting. Of course, we immediately got two tickets, more than willing to forgo our weekly movie night considering the unfillable void Mad Max left in our hearts. Last night was the big night --- opening night, actually, which was welcome-ish news to us! --- so we sauntered down Ninth Avenue and around to Theatre Row, where we grabbed a casual pre-theater slice and soda.
