Ian O'Connor

Ian O'Connor is a senior writer at ESPN.com, a nationally acclaimed columnist, and the New York Times bestselling author of his fourth book, BELICHICK: The Making of the Greatest Football Coach of All Time. His previous bestsellers were THE CAPTAIN: The Journey of Derek Jeter, which the Library Journal called "excellent" and "the most complete account" of Jeter's iconic career, and ARNIE & JACK: Palmer, Nicklaus, and Golf's Greatest Rivalry. O'Connor has finished in 1st place in more than a dozen national contests conducted by the Golf Writers Association of America, the Associated Press Sports Editors, the Pro Football Writers of America, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the United States Basketball Writers Association.
